RESULTS – Computer Based CFP Certification Exam

2,147 candidates took the first computer based CFP exam in November 2014. The exam resulted in a 66 percent pass rate, which is the highest pass rate in recent years.
The new computer-based exam consists of 170 multiple-choice questions, presented in two 3-hour sessions separated by a 40-minute scheduled break. The total testing appointment time is 6 ½ hours, which includes the half-hour break. The prior exam format consisted of a two-day exam with 285 questions.
