E. Vance Grange, PhD, CPA, CFP®

 

- Director of Tax and Personal Financial Planning Programs in the School of Accountancy at Utah State University.

 - Teaches courses in income taxation, personal financial planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.

- Bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University.

- Master’s of Accountancy degree from Utah State University.

- Ph.D. in Accounting (Taxation) from the University of Texas at  Austin.

- Licensed CPA in the state of Utah.

- Investment advisor associate of Beacon Financial Planning, LLC, a registered investment advisory com­pany in Utah.

- Former member Board of Examiners of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and a member of the CFP Board of Governors.

- Former chair of the Board of Examiners.

- Participated in the Model Curriculum project of the Academy of Financial Services and CFP Board.

- Has worked with CFP Board staff and other researchers to identify determinants of success on the CFP® Certification Examination since 1999.

- Has served as faculty advisor for numerous national finalist teams in the Deloitte Tax Case Study Competition, including a graduate team for 2007.
